Travelling by plane

The airport of Graz (‚Graz Thalerhof‘) can be reached by direct flights from several destinations , some of them are shown in the map.

Unfortunately, Graz airport is not well connected to publich transportation. It is most convenient to take a taxi to get from Graz airport to the center (cost approx. € 20-25,-).

Many other destinations can be reached by connecting flights via Vienna Airport. Transfer from Vienna Airport to Graz can be easily performed by using the train, by bus, or by private shuttle services (e.g.

Getting around in Graz

Getting around in Graz is easy as the distances are small.  However, there are plenty of bus and tram lines in the center ( ). Tram lines are probably most convenient with the center. You can buy the tickets from the ticket machines in the trams.  The ‘Old Town Tram’ through the city center is even free of charge – you can use all tramlines between ‘Jakominiplatz’ and ‘Hauptplatz’ plus one additional stop in either direction).
